December scores are in! What now?

Reader!

Did you get your December SAT score the other day? Do you know you haven't maxed out yet?

You can keep driving that score up! (For free, might I add.)

First, budget time. 30 minutes a day is ideal. If that's not an option, how about 15? Anything is better than nothing.

Second, learn how to use the College Board's free question bank! This is your new favorite website. Here is a video that will show you how to make the most of this great resource.

Third, each day, during your budgeted time, do the following:

  1. Make a question set from the test bank.
  2. In a quiet spot, complete the question set.
  3. Score it.
  4. Reflect, for at least 5 minutes a question, on your mistakes. Ask yourself why the correct answer is correct. Look for the traps.

Repeat each day, 5 days a week, until the March SAT. There you have it.

As always, I am here to help. Please reach out.

Fondly,

Kate, your SAT teammate

Hello Reader! Yesterday, I went to the grocery store - it was chaos. The entire world decided to go to that grocery store, at that exact time. You may have been there. If so, and you are now reading this email, congratulations on your survival. You are one of the strong ones. I fought for, and lost, the last package of strawberries to a frantic mother of two recalcitrant toddlers. (They looked slightly overripe anyway - the strawberries, that is, not the toddlers.) As the pre-holiday rush...
